At present, China is directly facing a "Chinese-style challenge" in the development of the artificial intelligence industry. China's AI industry shows an "inverted triangle" structure: the infrastructure layer, including the scale and quality of data as well as the scale and performance of compute power, constrains the rapid development of the model layer and application layer.

To address these issues and follow the industry trend of the "first year" of AI, MatrixOrigin has fully embraced and invested in the research and development of large model technologies. The company continues to improve its AI technology foundation and has expanded its business from the HSTAP database to AI infrastructure and AI platforms. Building on its existing product MatrixOne, a hyper-converged heterogeneous multimodal database, MatrixOrigin released an upgraded product project: MatrixOS, an intelligent operating system that connects compute power, data, and AI-Native applications. This project is an AI-native operating system that is minimalist, unified, open-source, and open. It consists of three parts: MatrixOne, a hyper-converged multimodal data management platform; MatrixGenesis, an AI Agent application development platform; and MatrixDC, a heterogeneous compute power management and scheduling platform. It aims to connect resources across domains, provide an end-to-end multimodal AI data intelligence solution, and thoroughly address enterprise challenges in AI compute power, connectivity, and cost control.

2024 13th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition

The China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (the "National Competition") has been successfully held for 13 consecutive sessions. This year's National Competition, themed "Gather Through Innovation, Move Toward the New Together," focused on five industry directions: new-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biomedicine and new energy, new energy vehicles, and energy conservation and environmental protection.

This year, more than 10,000 enterprises registered for the new-generation information technology competition. After intense competition across 37 local competition areas nationwide, more than 240 enterprises stood out and entered the National Competition. Finalists were divided into 8 growth groups and 4 startup groups, for a total of 12 competition groups. In the end, 6 growth-group enterprises and 3 startup-group enterprises won awards.

Finalists focused on innovation breakthroughs in frontier technology fields such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, new displays, high-performance integrated circuits, 5G communications, and cloud computing, demonstrating strong development momentum in China's new-generation information technology sector. On the competition stage, enterprises presented their "killer features" and fully demonstrated their core competitiveness.

2024 16th China Shenzhen Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition

The China Shenzhen Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (the "Shenzhen Competition") is an authoritative innovation and entrepreneurship event hosted by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It implements a national, municipal, and district three-level competition linkage mechanism and serves as the advancement channel for preliminary competitions held by Shenzhen districts (new districts, cooperation zones), the Qianhai Authority, and universities.

This Shenzhen Competition thoroughly implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, actively integrated into national strategies, promoted industrial innovation through technological innovation, advanced deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain, helped Shenzhen accelerate the building of an industrial technology innovation center with global influence, comprehensively built a city of innovation, and promoted Shenzhen as an important place for developing new quality productive forces.

From the launch of registration on May 9 to the registration deadline on July 26, the Shenzhen Competition attracted 8,784 projects from 34 countries including the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. The total number of participating projects and enterprises reached a new historical high. Among them, there were 4,507 enterprise-group projects from Shenzhen, up 34.54% year on year, and 4,277 team-group projects. A total of 7,163 projects registered in the "20+8" industrial fields. The competition process included preliminary rounds, semifinals, industry finals, and other stages. The preliminary stage was further divided into preliminary competitions (district competitions), challenge competitions, and more, providing a broad stage for enterprises, institutions, organizations, and individuals aspiring to innovation and entrepreneurship to compete with innovative ideas and discuss entrepreneurial dreams.
